Shenzhen’s industrial added value keeps double-digit growth

The industrial added value of enterprises above designated level maintained double-digit growth over the past three months, sources from Shenzhen Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau said Tuesday.

In July, the industrial added value increased by 11.5 percent compared to the average of the first six months. The profits of the enterprises in the first half of the year increased by 22.2 percent, compared with the same period of last year.

Between January and July, the growth of industrial added value of manufacturing industry turned positive.

The added value of the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water saw positive growth of 0.6 percent between January and July compared with the same period last year.

In the 36 segmented industries, the economic situation of 31 industries is improving.

Between January and July, the industries related to COVID-19 prevention and control, especially textiles, special equipment (including medical devices) and pharmaceutical manufacturing increased by 374.8 percent, 7.7 percent and 2.8 percent, respectively.

In addition, the added value of advanced and high-tech manufacturing increased by 3.7 percent and 3.4 percent, respectively.
