The National Restaurant Association estimates that by the end of the year, 100,000 restaurants around the United States will close. The industry as a whole is on track to lose $240 billion in 2020.

As winter approaches and new sets of restrictions begin to take effect, the next several months could be even more difficult for restaurant owners.

There is however one bright spot in the industry: Idaho. This year, it's leading the nation in daily takeout and delivery revenue, and it's the only state that's actually increased average daily dine-in revenue.

As a part of the show's small business spotlight, Stacey talks to Jeff May, owner of Bar Gernika, a Basque restaurant in Boise, Idaho about how they've managed to stay afloat this year and how they're preparing for the future.
